Top of 1: Wurmwood advances with forest wall, everything is out of advance and shoot range. Bottom of 1: Siege charges into a foxhole and rest of jacks take cover. Nyss spread out to avoid hellmouths doing alot. Two rangers jam in.

Top of 2: Wurwood feats, hellmouths a nyss for 4 models, rest advance up into zone. Bottom of 2: (not pictured) I feat this turn as I have a line on cassius, stalker, non ua shifting stone, and a gallows. I mess up magesight and leave the gallows alive. No control points for either side

Top of 3: Wurmwood clears out the left zone handily but with nothing to teleport him into it can only score 1. The other stones were not in place to tp. He sends some shamblers and alten ( versh proxy) into the right zone to contest 1-0

Bottom of 3: I need to clear out 2 shamblers, alten, and a stone to clear the zone. I also want to kill the stone in the forest ( druid proxy) so wurmwood then becomes stuck. Also if dice go well I can have triumph aim a shot into the stealthed sentry stone thanks to arcane precison and hopefully take it out. Dice dont go well, but I am able to clear the zone ( the one shambler is out of formation) and kill the shifting stone so wurmwood is now routed. Nyss charges snapjaw and alten shoots up the pureblood and enters the zone 1-2 ( siege)

Top of 4: At this point wurmwood has more options to assinate me then I realize. The gatorman bokur having a 12″ boostable stationary threat is pretty real. Lanyssa also is in hunters mark range to allow snapjaw to get into my caster. His dice fail on both of these, but wurmwood can still hellmouth my caster after placing a shifting stone within 3 and pulling him in so a primal snapjaw can charge. Snapjaw puts siege to the dirt 2-2 Assination Loss

 

Post Match thoughts: I came into this game with the perception of it being playable and maybe 60-40 my favor. I did not feel my gameplan was going to be assination ( atleast early game) as wurmwood with 2-3 souls and 3 transfers is very safe against my list. I wanted to focus on dealing with sentry and shifting stones, and his heavy hitters. Snapjaw is a pain with submerge but groundpounder can get around. Hellmouth is a pain for the nyss and he could get 3-4 a turn with it. Not having a stormwall was felt here, though stranglehold prolly prefers a colossal. I feel siege is playable into wurmwood, but you shouldn’t expect a win if you stand across him on the battlefield
